Privacy notice
This notice explains what personal information revoq handles, why, and in what role. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.
Two different roles
As a service provider. When a consumer submits an opt-out request through a customer organization's revoq page, revoq processes that information on the organization's behalf and according to its configuration. The organization decides what the request covers and where it is delivered.
For our own business. When someone contacts revoq through this website, revoq handles that information for its own purposes: replying to the request and managing the relationship.
Information handled for consumer requests
A phone number, the scope selected, verification details for the one-time code, the website and brand the request came from, and technical request metadata including a hashed form of the network address. Phone numbers are shown in masked form and protected in storage.
revoq does not require a name, mailing address, or account number to accept a request, and does not store subscriber lookup data from its verification provider.
This information is used to verify the request, deliver it to the destinations the organization configured, and maintain the evidence record. It is not sold, and it is not used for advertising.
Information handled for business inquiries
Name, work email, optional phone number, company, role, and whatever you tell us about your environment when you request a readiness review. We use it to reply and to prepare for that conversation. Submitting the form does not add you to a marketing list.
Service providers and disclosure
revoq uses third parties to operate the platform, including hosting and database infrastructure, a phone verification provider, and an email delivery provider. Verified requests are transmitted to the destinations each customer organization configures.
revoq does not share consumer requests between customer organizations, and does not operate a shared consumer directory.
Retention, rights, and contact
Retention periods for evidence records are agreed with each customer organization rather than set as a single published period. Consumers exercising rights in relation to a request should contact the company whose opt-out page they used, because that company controls the record; revoq will support that company in responding.
